↻ Switch to Vencer

Already Have an MSP?
Switching Is Easier Than You Think.

Most companies stay with the wrong MSP because changing feels like a project. It isn't. Here's exactly what your first 30 days with Vencer looks like: no service gaps, no contract limbo, no painful re-onboarding.

Quick answer

Most companies stay with the wrong MSP because changing feels like a project. It isn't. Vencer's transition method covers the first 30 days: environment audit, secret-key rotation, tool consolidation, then steady-state within 90. No service gaps, no contract limbo, no double-billing period. If the diligence week reveals we're not the right fit, you walk away with a better assessment of your current stack. That's how we earn the switch.

First, Is It Really Time?

If You're Reading This Page,
You Probably Already Know.

A few of the most common signals we hear. None of them on their own are dealbreakers, but if you're nodding to three or more, you're not imagining the problem.

What's Typical Today

IT without accountability, the pattern most operators recognize.

  • You haven't seen your account manager in over a year, and the relationship feels transactional
  • Security is treated as a checklist, not a strategy - and no one ever explains the real threats to your business.
  • You don't actually know what's in your contract, and you suspect you're being underdelivered
  • Tickets get answered, but your business problems don't get solved
  • Your industry has operating realities (energy, M&A, regulated) your MSP doesn't really understand
  • The team that pitched you isn't the team you ended up with
  • You're paying for "24/7" but in practice nothing happens after 6 PM

What Changes With Vencer

IT with accountability, written into how every engagement runs.

  • Scheduled TBR is non-negotiable. You see your team in person on a schedule.
  • Security built to a real standard - EDR, MFA, and layered protection as the baseline, not an upsell.
  • One clear monthly invoice - you'll always know exactly what you're paying for.
  • Outcome-oriented work - a roadmap of what's next, not just a ticket count.
  • Real industry depth: energy, M&A, healthcare, professional services, cross-border - we know your operating reality, not just your tech stack.
  • The people who onboard you are the people who run your account
  • Real 24/7 Support - two sister NOC/SOC entities, in Canada and Singapore, following the sun

Your First 30 Days

Day 1. Week 1.
Month 1.

Switching MSPs isn't a project, it's a sequence. Here's how we run it.

Day 1-7

Audit & Discovery

We map your environment first, before anything changes. Stack inventory, identity audit, security posture review, vendor list, current contracts. We document what we find and walk you through it. No agents deploy yet, no help desk swap, no surprise changes. Just a clear picture of what you actually have. Day-one no service gap, guaranteed.

Week 2-3

Stabilize & Take Hand-Off

We accept the hand-off from your outgoing MSP. Existing tickets get triaged. RMM, EDR, MFA, and backup agents deploy across the environment, alongside (not in place of) what is already there. Your help desk number changes to ours. Day-one no service gap. Quick wins from the audit get fixed first.

Month 1

Roadmap & First Business Review

Your first scheduled Business Review. A tailored IT roadmap. The named owners on your account. The security posture summary. Most environments should be fully under Vencer management by day 30, actual timeline depends on vendor cooperation, client systems access, and the scope of cleanup the previous MSP left behind.

What about my existing contract? Most MSP contracts auto-renew annually with a 60–90 day notice window. We'll help you read your contract honestly, plan around your renewal date, and coordinate the overlap so there's never a service gap. We've done this enough times to make it boring.

"But What About..."

The Honest Answers
To the Hard Questions.

Q1

"I just switched MSPs a year ago."

Then you already know the cost of switching badly. That's exactly why our onboarding is structured, written, and walked through in advance. We'd rather lose you during the discovery & assessment phase compared to ten months in.

Q2

"Won't this be disruptive to my team?"

Hand-off windows are deliberately overlapping. Your help desk number changes once, everything else is invisible to end users. Most of our switches are described internally as "uneventful." That's the goal.

Q3

"I'm under contract until [date]."

That's fine. We'll start the assessment now, structure the switch around your renewal date, and use the runway to plan it properly. The longest switches actually have the smoothest hand-offs.

Q4

"What if I'm wrong about my current MSP?"

Then we'll tell you. Our IT Assessment is structured to give you an honest view of where you are, even if the answer is "your MSP is doing more than you realize, stay with them." It happens.

Q5

"What about the historical knowledge they have?"

Standard offboarding includes documentation transfer. We pull it into IT Glue, augment with our own discovery, and you end up with better documentation than your previous MSP had, usually within 60 days.

Q6

"Are you actually better, or just another MSP?"

"Better" is the wrong test. Most MSPs at our tier can keep your lights on. What almost none can do is sit in the operator's chair with you - read a P&L, understand a deal, etc. We've run companies, not just supported them: 30+ M&A transactions guided, zero breaches in over a decade. Some clients start light and grow into us; others hand us the whole picture on day one. Either way, we run IT as part of the business, not a vendor on the side.

Let's Have a
Quiet Conversation.

30 minutes with a Vencer partner, not a sales rep. We'll learn about your business, your challenges, and the gaps that matter, then talk through how we can help. Tell us what's slowing you down and let's find the best path forward for YOU.

Switching Q&A

Common questions about switching MSPs

What if our current MSP contract isn't expired yet?

Run them in parallel until it is. Vencer doesn't pressure you to break a contract early. That's MSP-vs-MSP behaviour we refuse to engage in. We'll start the discovery and stabilization work alongside your current provider, document the environment, onboard agents, and inherit knowledge, so the cutover when it happens is uneventful. Most parallel periods run 30 to 90 days depending on remaining contract length and deal complexity.

Will our existing Microsoft 365, backup, and security stack carry over?

Vencer will migrate your team seamlessly into our enterprise-quality stack during onboarding. Your Microsoft 365 environment carries over as-is. Your existing backups stay running until the Vencer backup is verified and tested. Migration to the Vencer stack happens in the cutover window, typically weeks two through six, without service interruption.
